Architecture: "Just Enough Design Upfront"
​The Design phase is key to a successful solution implementation. Analysis and Planning Workshops with project stakeholders, champions, SMEs and users will enable Præcursor to gather business and technical requirements before documenting them.
At this stage, a Systems Diagram, a Business Process Map and a Design Document presenting: objectives, solution components, requirements (User, data and non-functional stories as well licences by User Persona), delivery methodology & communication plan, data migration strategy and project plan will provide all the information needed for a successful implementation phase.
Implement: "Groom -> Deliver -> Demonstrate -> Test & Accept -> [Deploy]" Sprint Iterations
​Once the project backlog has been allocated to project sprints of 3 - 4 weeks, the project team will refine the sprint backlog in grooming sessions before actually starting the configuration or development of the solution features. Scrum meetings during this phase will enable the team to address roadblocks by allocating additional resources as early as possible, not to delay the sprint. In the last step, the demonstration of the configured features will be used as training for the customer to be able to test and validate the team can move on to the next sprint and deploy (if a solution component has to be deployed) or needs to re-iterate. ​
Training, UAT, Rollout & Support:
After implementing, the solution needs to be progressively transferred to the end users so they can understand how to work with it, approve all their needs in the scope of the project are supported and work together with Præcursor to give a feedback on potential improvements needed in a future iteration of the solution!
